A majority of Democrats prefer a more liberal Court, while most Republicans favor a more conservative one, and independents split 30% more liberal, 26% more conservative and 40% as it was…48% [of Americans] say that if most or all Republicans in the Senate oppose Obama’s nominee, they would be justified in preventing a vote to confirm him or her.”

FRC Poll: 64% Supreme Court Vacancy Important Factor in Voting
“Today, Family Research Council (FRC) released the results of a commissioned national survey conducted by WPA Opinion Research showing that 64 percent of likely voters agree the Supreme Court will be “an important factor in determining who you vote for in November’s elections.” 71% of Republican voters and 63% of Democratic voters rank the Supreme Court as an important factor. The survey also found that 71 percent of those who frequently attend worship services (once a week or more) say the Supreme Court is an important factor in determining their vote.”
3. Former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell says with First and Second Amendment rights, religious freedom under threat, the American people should have a voice in deciding the next Supreme Court Justice.
Former Ohio Secretary of State, State Treasurer and Cincinnati mayor Ken Blackwell statement:
“President Obama and liberal Democrats should not deny the American people a voice in deciding the next Supreme Court justice with their votes for president, no matter who wins. Already millions of people have cast votes with millions more to come. The court should be balanced instead of dominated by a liberal majority, which has been President’s Obama’s scheme all along. The court is now one vote away from doing away with our Second Amendment rights, one vote away from letting the EPA run amok with obsessive regulations, one vote away from restricting or doing away with religious freedom, one vote away from giving the IRS free reign to persecute innocent Americans for political purposes. Eight years ago these same Democrats said they’d deny President Bush an appointment to the Supreme Court during his last year in office. As Martin Luther King would say, their lips now are dripping with hypocrisy. We all can agree to let the people choose the next president and let the next president choose the next justice.”
4. The Judicial Crisis Network launched a new digital ad campaign in Ohio, backing Senator Rob Portman for supporting the people of Ohio’s right to have their voice heard in the selection of the next Supreme Court Justice.
JCN’s latest digital advertising efforts are aimed at Ohioans who want to have their vote in November’s presidential election help decide who will be the next Supreme Court Justice.
