Witnesses staying consistent as FBI digs into the Kavanaugh case
Key witnesses have renewed their definitive statements that they did not see any of the sexual misconduct that a few women have said they suffered at the hands of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, bolstering his case as the FBI gets into the heart of its investigation.

The evidence doesn’t add up
In a memo sent to all Republican senators, Rachel Mitchell, the deputy county attorney in charge of the Special Victims Division in Maricopa County, Arizona, said her “bottom line” was that “a ‘he said, she said’ case is incredibly difficult to prove. But this case is even weaker than that.”

A very strange thing happened over the weekend …
If you follow Twitter closely, you’ll notice that the debate over Brett Kavanaugh moved significantly from the central question of last Thursday’s hearing — did he commit sexual assault? — to a raging debate over whether he lied about high-school slang, college drinking, and inside jokes, and whether he was just too “angry” to be a Supreme Court judge.
